A model developed after the M4 pattern rifle, the PWS MK1 Rifle has quickly become the crowd favorite. The MK1 retains lethal precision out to 500 meters with varying types of ammunition and boasts a permanently attached FSC556.  Utilizing the proven system originally designed for the MK107, the MK1 uses a mid length gas piston system. The operating system, designed after the venerable AK-47, features a long stroke fixed operating rod design with an adjustable gas block, handguard and free-floated barrel.

Newly introduced, the MK1 MOD2 rifles have added a host of improvements and new features on the classic high performance MK1 Mod1 rifles.

The PWS upper and lower receivers are now forged, allowing for a stronger and lighter product.  A common known fact that has been lost through the marketing efforts of many AR 15 manufacturers is that a forging can produce a piece that is much stronger than a billet part.  As the metal is shaped during the forging process, its internal grain aligns to follow the general shape of the part.  As a result, the grain is continuous throughout the part, giving rise to a part that is stronger, yet lighter, than a billet
The MOD 2 handguard has been equipped with the new PicMod Technology. This allows you to mount any KeyModTM attachment anywhere on your rail while being able to mount most Picatinny accessories directly to the rail in the areas where the PicMod feature is present.  This gives you the most mounting options without having to use KeyMod mounted Picatinny rail sections, adding unnecessary width and weight to your rifle.
The MOD 2 comes with three easy to use gas block settings.
Position 1 - Recommended for all types of ammunition and conditions when not using a suppressor
Position 2 - Position 2 is for low-powered ammunition when using a suppressor
Position 3 - Position 3 is recommended for normal suppressor use with normal & high powered ammunition
Everything about the MOD 2 has been designed to be an incredibly accurate fit and finish, including the new handguard mounting system, which features a trunnion machined into the upper receiver.
The MOD 2 comes with an enhanced trigger, set from the factory at a crisp 5.5 pounds.  Each trigger is custom adjusted at the factory, to ensure perfect performance, every time you squeeze.
The new PWS EBT is impact extruded from 7075 to enhance strength and rigidity, and anodized in mil spect type 3 to exceed standards in hardness and corrosion protection.  We’ve added a new Ratchet-Lock Design to eliminate the need to stake the castle nut, and gives a rock solid lock up while being able to be removed easily if needed in the future.
We’ve added ambidextrous controls for the safety selector, bolt release, and mag release to enhance the ease of use.
Every MOD 2 rifle comes complete with a Bravo Company grip and stock

  • 223 Wylde Caliber*
A proprietary rifle cartridge chamber with the external dimensions and lead angle as found in the military 5.56×45mm NATO cartridge and the 0.2240 inch freebore diameter as found in the civilian SAAMI .223 Remington cartridge. Rifles with a .223 Wylde chamber will typically accept both .223 Remington and externally slightly larger 5.56×45mm NATO ammunition.   The .223 Wylde hybrid chamber was designed by Bill Wylde of Greenup, IL to exploit the accuracy advantages of the .223 Remington chambering without pressure problems or compromising the functional reliability of (semi) automatic weapons like the AR-15 family when using 5.56×45mm NATO military ammunition. Coincidentally, it shoots the relatively long and heavy 80-grain (5.18 g) bullets commonly used in the sport of Highpower Rifle Competition very well and is one of the preferred chambers for that use. The Wylde chamber is used by a few rifle manufacturers who sell "National Match" configuration AR-15 rifles, barrels, and upper receivers.
